Sizing
Here at whomadeyourpants? we make the sorts of pants you can wear all day, everyday. They're designed to be smooth against your body, so no lines or bumps under your work clothes. And they're comfortable – one of the things we wear test for is 'forgetaboutability' – can we forget we are wearing them? Even if we go for a bike ride, walk about all day, go shopping and picking up bags? If they remind us that they are there by riding up, or disappearing where they shouldn't, the design gets tweaked until they behave nicely
We occasionally get asked for actual measurements of the pants. We don't tend to give them out simply because that won't tell you what you're really after. Each fabric behaves differently so we standardise the fit by altering the patterns. For example, there's almost an inch difference between a finished Black pair and a Pirate Pink pair but they are both designed, cut and made to fit you equally well.
What size should I buy?
As all the stretch is in the fabric, and there's no elastic at the waist or leg, do buy your usual size. A lot of people have told us that they normally go up a size when they buy pants – if you do that with ours, they'll end up in a pile around your ankles. A very pretty pile, but a pile nonetheless. Our brilliant designer has been working in the industry for ten years and she really knows her stuff. Our sizes go from 8 to 18 so just buy whatever size you usually would.
