How did you find out about Who Made Your Pants?
It was Becky’s fault. I knew her from before she was in pants. When she set up in business I wanted to support her because I loved the WMYP ideals. I was initially a little hesitant to spend so much money on underwear (I’m a cheapskate/cheap Kate) but I leapt upon the seconds sale like a land-starved sailor. Turned out they were worth every penny and then some.
What do you love about the pants?
They’re comfortable, beautiful, and ethical. Comfortable because you can wear ‘em anywhere and not have to perform strange contortions to readjust because they never need readjusting. Beautiful because they look pretty to me (and my inner angry feminist likes nice things). Ethical because they are made using leftover fabrics, and made by women gaining skills and another language. And also ethical without having to buy a goat. #PantsNotGoats.
Which are your favourite pants and why?
Rosalind!
Where is the most unusual place you have worn the pants?
Running offroad marathons. I did 26.2 miles around the Lake District in these. I ran from Avebury to Stonehenge in these. Very comfortable, invisible under Lycra, and I was secure in the knowledge that if I was stretchered to hospital I’d have nice underwear on.
