Dear Who Made Your Pants?

You write letters every week telling me what you've been doing, so here's a letter from me in return.

I received my order of seconds today. Our usual postman is on holiday and the postman who delivered them was looking at the label with interest, although he didn't say anything (my usual postman has commented in the past but is now used to you).

I opened the box and let out an oh, oh oh! of delight as through the tissue paper I could see the fabric used in Flux capacitor, which is one of your most gorgeous fabrics ever - I love it! I have been having fun trying to work out what else is in there before unwrapping. I can see some pink lace edging - Rosalind or Cecilia, I wonder - and could that creamy-looking fabric possibly be Biscotti? The pink lace seems to be attached to some blue fabric - the same colour as Henrietta Happy, and I can see a hint of some dark fabric with either a pink zigzag pattern or narrow pink trim.

Now I am opening the parcel. For once I have pulled the stickers off very carefully, making only a little hole, so I hope to use the tissue paper again (I know you'll approve of this). Now I am unwrapping and what do I have? Yes!!! Flux capacitor! Then Cecilia in almost the same colour as Happy, with pink lace. I don't remember seeing these in your shop, so wonder if they are from a YOP special edition or if they pre-date my discovery of the comfort and beauty of Cecilias. Either way, they are a welcome addition to my pants drawer.

Next Biscot… no wait a minute, I don't think they are! The lace looks different from the pictures I remember from Twitter. A check on the Aimee page and yes, the lace is a different pattern and creamier colour. Another pair I don't recall seeing before and they are beautiful. Finally, Hay Meers. It was a sandwich of black lace from these and dark purple from Flux capacitor with a tiny bit of pink trim in between that I thought was black with pink zigzags through the tissue paper. This is the only pair where the flaw that made them a second is immediately obvious (label in the front instead of back) - the other three pairs I have inspected closely to try to spot the flaws, which are so minor that I am thinking "is that really it?" and am consequently very impressed at the high standards of your quality control.

Now I just have to decide which of these beauties to wear first.

I hope you have enjoyed this glimpse into the joy of opening one of your parcels.

From a very happy pants customer

Liz
