Let it grow, let it grow, let it grow...

We tweeted recently an idle wonder, 'what do you think we could do to get bigger'. We've a fat waiting list and we want to make more jobs and make more pants and just basically MORE MORE MORE.

We had some great answers (Thanks especially to Lowri!) and we thought we'd ask this a bit more broadly. We're specifically interested in YOU - what do YOU like, how do you like shopping - what excites you online?

There are some things we can't do - for *reasons* so we'll include those before we start...

We can't/don't do..

  • Pants parties (like tupperware parties) with anyone not employed by us because of agency sales regulations - we looked into this and it's a definite no for us right now. Well - Becky can do them but no-one else. If you reckon you can get at least 30 women together who will spend a good chunk of dosh (we'd need to cover time, travel etc so probably at least £400) let us know!
  • Pop up shops or being in someone elses pop up shop because when we did it it was a ton of work and we sold almost nothing
  • Sell through other shops - because other shops take a LOT of money (anything from 20 to 75 %) and we want that money to pay our team with.

What do you like?

Do you like competitions online - did you like our Limited Edition draw for Grapehene the other day?

How about groupon style things, if we could find a way to run it? We like the idea of - say with 50 limited edition pants - saying that people can make an offer of a price, even £1, like on pay what you can day, and as long as we achieve a certain total value, we'll accept 50 offers that make us that value.

How about if we asked you to help us talk to your friends? What would it be like if we said for every *so many* people you get to join sign up to our newsletter, you get *something*?

What else - who do you know? Do you know journalists? Can you get us into a magazine/journal/publication you like? We've done 'desk drops' - samples to journalists - which someone suggested and we ended up with a mention in a daily paper which was great - but the work and the free pants that went into getting that was kinda disproportionate...

We're all ears for new ideas - looking forward to hearing yours!

The pay-as-you-like for limited edition sounds fun, so long as you get enough offers to make the spend target :)
Also like the sign up your friends and get a freebie idea :)
