Let's Talk About Pants - and Sheroes

Last week, over the course of an afternoon and evening, about 30 women got together in the basement of the Canvas Cafe in London and waved chainsaws (plastic) and toilet brushes, and wore masks, garlands and capes - and of course lots of lovely Pants - as we tried to find some new ways to take photos of women in Pants that neither sexualise nor objectify but show you where our Pants sit on different bodies.

I cant tell you what a brilliant day it was. Women from size 6 - 18, and from about 19 to 60 came along and it was an absolute blast.

The pictures we took won't be shared publicly. Those of us who were there will see them and we'll look and see what worked - does it work to see someone sitting down, in a yoga pose, doing her running stretches? Does it work to have a Bat(wo)man outfit or a plastic chainsaw? We hope that this will give us some idea on what nest - watch this space!

HUGE HUGE thanks to everyone who came - from Germany, Manchester, London, The Isle of Wight. It was a glorious pleasure to meet so many of you who I've spoken to and sent Pants to - thank you ALL for your energy and enthusiasm.

Big thanks too to Ruth and the team at the Canvas Cafe, Syd, Elsa and their masses of costume, and Cindy for the photos. It was A BLAST
